Brad Parrott, who led NASCAR Busch Series rookie Carl Edwards to five wins and a third-place finish in points last season, has been released by Roush Racing, the Observer has learned.Parrott did not travel with the No. 60 Busch team Friday morning for its scheduled test at Daytona International Speedway, several team officials confirmed. Bob Osborne, Edwards' crew chief in the Nextel Cup Series, is in Daytona currently working with the Busch team. A permanent replacement for Parrott is expected to be named within the next day or so, sources said. One possibility is Pierre Kuettel, currently the car chief for Edwards' No. 99 Cup team. Kuettel is also in Daytona on Friday for the test, team officials said. Parrott, 38, has worked for a variety of teams, including other Roush and Robert Yates Racing operations. In 2004 Parrott assumed the role as crew chief for Roush's No. 60 driven then by Greg Biffle. Last season, Edwards took over the driving duties with the team. Edwards is one a several Cup drivers planning to run complete Nextel Cup and Busch series schedules in 2006
