Sterling Marlin is scheduled to put his new No. 14 MB2 Motorsports Waste Management Chevrolet through its paces along with Robert Yates Racing Development driver Matt McCall at Kentucky Speedway on Tuesday, March 7. Fans are able to view testing from the designated area outside Turn 3 for free. Testing usually begins at 9:00 a.m., and ends at approximately 5:00 p.m. Test times will vary based on team goals.

The first of two 2006 Kentucky Speedway “Drive the Track” sales is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, from 9:30 a.m., to 4:00 p.m. Customers that spend a minimum of $40 in the speedway Gift Shop on 2006 race tickets and discounted speedway or driver merchandise will be able to drive three laps on the speedway mile-and-a-half tri-oval track in their own vehicles. Laps will be paced by speedway fire-and-safety vehicles. The shop is located in the speedway Fan Center just off of Interstate 71 Exit 57 and Ky. Hwy. 35 North in Sparta, Ky. HARVICK, HAMLIN EXCEL IN NBS MEXICO CITY RACE
Former Kentucky Speedway NASCAR Busch Series race winner and 2001 series champion Kevin Harvick held on to the lead in the series standings with a second consecutive top-three finish on the road course at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, Mexico on March 5. Harvick followed up his 2005 second-place finish with a third-place effort. He holds a 14-point edge over second-place driver J.J. Yeley entering the series 300-mile race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway March 11. Yeley finished fourth in Mexico City. New third-place driver Denny Hamlin and his No. 20 Rockwell Automation Chevrolet were launched seven positions in the series standings after racing to a Mexico City win. The victory was the first of his three-year NASCAR Busch Series career and marked his first top-five finish of the season. The win topped his previous career-best third-place finish in Louden, N.H., on July 16, 2005. He now owns two top-five and 14 top-10 finishes through 39 career series starts. He trails Harvick by 22 points entering Las Vegas. Road-course specialist and race pole award winner Boris Said placed second and Paul Menard completed the Mexico City top-five.
