Stewart has nothing but praise for victorious teammate
Tony Stewart was a drafting partner for Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin for much of the late portion of Hamlin's victory in the Budweiser Shootout, so Stewart got to watch Hamlin's breakout performance."I did not see any rookie mistakes in him at all during the times I was around him," Stewart said. "I thought he ran a very solid race. I thought he showed patience." Stewart said he'd noticed in practice on Friday that Hamlin's car was strong. "When we got behind him there was absolutely nothing we could do with him when he got the lead," Stewart said. "I am very proud of what he did."
