Bluegrass Speedway Hosts Regular Show This Saturday Night, June 4
Bardstown, KY-May 29- Bluegrass Speedway, located outside of beautiful and historic Bardstown, KY, will again be in action this Saturday, June 4, with a regular show featuring the Late Models, Modifieds, Sportsman, and Street Stocks all in competition at the ½ mile high banked Nelson County dirt oval.
The June 4 event will feature the Late Models racing 25 laps in their main event, for $1,000 to win. The Modifieds will see their main event go 20 laps, racing for $500 to win. The Sportsman division will race 15 laps for $200 to win, while the Street Stocks will race 12 laps for $100 to win. The Late Model and Street Stock divisions will time trial at this event, while the Sportsman and Modified classes will line up heats by the pill draw.
Activities for this June 4 event will see pit gates will open at 4:00, with main gates opening at 5:00. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:00, hot laps at 6:30, time trials at 7:00, with racing set to take the green flag at 8:00. All times are EDT. Adult general admission is $10, with children ages 6 to 12 being $5, children under age 6 are free, and pit passes will be $20.
Bluegrass Speedway is once again associated with the Contingency Connection program in 2005, with drivers eligible for over $50,000 in posted contingency prizes if they participate in the program and also make themselves eligible for the season ending Mr. Gasket awards program. Also an added incentive, drivers can now be eligible for the JE Pro Seal Rings Sportsman of the Year program.
Bluegrass Speedway last raced on May 28 and winners for that evening included Bryan Barber of Buffalo, KY in Late Models, Ted Nobbe of Batesville, IN won the Mod Squad Bash for the Battle of the Bluegrass Modified Series, Mike Basham of Henryville, IN won in Sportsman, and Tim Leake of Bardstown, KY won in Street Stocks.
Bluegrass Speedway is owned by Charles Hamilton and promoted by David and Anita Ferrell. Racing takes place on Saturday nights from mid-April through the end of September.
