Lebanon Midway announces 1st Annual Fast Factory 50
LEBANON, Mo. -- The Lebanon MidwaySpeedway has released information about the final information on the 1st annual Fast Factory 50 to be held on April 21st and 22nd.
This 1st event paying $5,000 to the winner of the 50 lapper and just starting the event will pay $500.
Friday Night April 21st drivers will draw for heat races and the winners of each heat will redraw for a pole dash to help set the front part of the field for Sat Night's Main Event.Those drivers finishing 2nd,3rd and possibly 4th will run a Qualifying feature later that evening to help lock-in 14 cars from Friday Night to the Main event.
Sat Night those drivers who haven't qualified yet will redraw for heat races and the winners will advance into the feature with the remaining field running a final last chance race.The final 2 spots will be for the highest 2 point cars from the Midway 2005 final point standing who haven't made the field(positions 25 & 26).Car count will help determine how many heats and cars advanced from the qualifying races.
Entry fee for this event will be $100 per car.The weight rule will be 3300 Lbs with car and driver afterward with Minimum wheel base is 101 inches,but it cannot surpass 101.5'' on opposite side.Tires HOOSIER ASPHALT TAKE OFF (10.0 / 27.0 0-15 F SERIES OR 1053, 1060), HOOSIER A-40, HOOSIER G-60, OR HOOSIER 500 TIRES. NUMBERS MUST BE VISIBLE FOR INSPECTION. MAY RE-GROOVE TIRES.
The type of tire that gets you into the 50 lapper is the same type(size and compound) that you must run in the Main Event.
"This is a very popular class all around the area and surrounding areas with the rules very close to each other," quoted owner Harold Armstrong.This format worked very well for our Modified event and the drivers understood,you win your in.
Friday night action will see the Grandstands and pit gates open at 5 with hotlaps to start around 7:15 with the actual racing at 8PM.Bombers will be racing on Friday Night with a full show with the winner recieving $200 and each driver getting bonus points towards the season standings.
On Sat Night,again gates to open at 5 with Hotlaps starting at 6:45 and Racing at 7:30.The Fastrak MidWest Regional LateModels will be battling as this will be there opening show of the season as the popular CrateLateModel Racers will be gunning for $1200 to win and 200 to start.Admission prices look to be Friday Night Adults 10 kids 11-15 5 and as always kids 10 and under are Free.Sat night will see Adults possibly $12,kids again 11-15 $5 and 10 and under Free.
